Zoran Pavlovic
Zoran Pavlović (Skopje, March 14, 1932 – Belgrade, July 27, 2006) was a Serbian painter, art critic, and professor at the University of Arts in Belgrade. He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and in Art History from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 1959. He earned his Master's degree in Art History in 1961. Pavlović worked as an assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade from 1961, becoming a full professor in 1980. He served as the Dean of the Faculty and as Vice-Rector of the University of Arts. In 2000, he founded the Department of Painting at the Braća Karić Academy.
Pavlović was also a prominent art critic and theorist, particularly known for his contributions to the study of informel art in Serbia. He was a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS) and the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). He wrote for various major newspapers and magazines and participated in numerous exhibitions both in Serbia and internationally.
