Milan Stasevic

Milan Stašević, born in 1946 in Vojvoda Stepa, Banat, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1975, where he later completed his master’s degree in 1977. He has held over 50 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 300 group exhibitions worldwide. Stašević has received numerous national and international awards. He is currently a professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and lives in Belgrade.

His work is known for large-scale white paintings, created through spontaneous interventions using ink, paint, and chalk. Stašević’s art explores abstraction, minimalism, and reinterprets the history of art, quoting and re-reading old masters in a modern context.
