Dusan Otasevic

Dušan Otašević, born on December 25, 1940, in Belgrade, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1966, under the mentorship of Professor Ljubica Sokić.

He held approximately forty solo exhibitions, some of which took place in Belgrade in 1965, 1967, 1970, and 1972, as well as in Novi Sad, Zagreb (1967), Brescia (1968), and Venice (1972).

He participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Serbia and abroad, including the Biennale of Young Artists and the October Salon in 1966, the Biennale of Fine Arts in 1967 and 1970, the "Confrontations '66" exhibition in Klagenfurt in 1966, the "Contemporary Yugoslav Art" exhibition in South America in 1968, the "Painting and Graphics of Young Yugoslav Artists" exhibition in Paris in 1970, the Venice Biennale in 1972, and the sixth exhibition of SULUJ in Sarajevo in 1975.

Otašević was elected as a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts on October 30, 2003, and became a full member on November 5, 2009.
